A bustling, opulent and excellent resturant in the belly of Soho, you’ll find this establishment towers above its neighbours in more than just the style and overhang of its resplendent Tang & Tudor Dynasty fusion architecture.
Beggining with the starters, their menu distinguishes itself with every imported classic you might be looking for. Prawn toast well fried and full bodied lets you know they mean business. The salt & pepper squid is skillfully accompanied with scallions, and the complementry chilli sauces offered at this stage of the meal are no disappointment. There is of course, a great range of dumplings and some interesting rolls, including a venison bun that does not mislead you. You may splash out on one of their rich wines, for example a deeply sharp and fruity malbec that nonetheless treads lightly across the palate as the evening proceeds. You’ll be fighting to grab the waiter and order main in no time at all!
The main course further exemplifies the excellent range available on the menu with mock, meat and mycoprotein, fish and seafood, with graphically tasty tofu and claypot cooking giving real body to dishes that already had it in their own right. Fine vegetables and hearty sauces accompany this plethora of choices to suit every taste and dietary requirement. The egg fried rice, among the many rice options, is excellently mixed and cooked yet not a bit dry. The eponymous duck forms an excellent centerpiece to share with friends.
As well as extensive beer, wine and cocktail options including for their tempting desserts, there is also an excellent range of coffees, black and herbal teas. They even sell gift cards, as if there wasn’t already enough reason to share the experience.
